Window Perf.
Full-color graphics on perforated vinyl — brand-forward from the outside, see-through from the inside. The micro-holes in the film let light pass through so passengers retain visibility, while the outside viewer sees a solid graphic at any normal viewing distance. Works on vehicle rear windows, storefront glass, and restaurant patio dividers.
- Starts at: $145 / window
- Best for: Vehicle rear windows, retail storefronts, patio dividers
- Warranty: 3-year outdoor
How it's built
Perf vinyl, Uv-cured print, matched perf laminate.
Window perf has a unique construction challenge: the laminate has to match the perforation pattern of the print film exactly, or the holes shift and the view-through degrades. We source matched laminate from 3M that aligns hole-for-hole with the vinyl, so the finished product looks clean from both sides. The adhesive is aggressive enough to bond to glass without a slip — important during heat-formed installation on curved vehicle windows.
60/40 or 70/30 view-through
60/40 means 60% ink coverage, 40% open holes — good balance of graphic impact and visibility. 70/30 is more opaque for maximum graphic clarity.
Uv-cured Cmyk
UV-cured inks hit every printable dot of the perf vinyl, leaving the holes open and clean. Eco-solvent would bleed into the holes.
3M 8528 perforated laminate
Matched-hole overlaminate. Aligns with the print film's hole pattern so the view-through stays unobstructed after lamination.
High-tack transfer tape
Perforated film needs higher-tack transfer tape than standard vinyl — the holes reduce the surface area holding the tape, so we use a specially formulated high-tack carrier.
Colors & finishes
Full-color Cmyk, white-back option for higher contrast.
Window perf prints full CMYK. For maximum color pop on tinted windows, we offer a white-backed film where the solid portions of the graphic sit on a white substrate — this prevents the window tint from muting the colors.
View-through options
Hole pattern percentage affects both graphic opacity and interior visibility. Most vehicle applications use 60/40.
- 60/40 standard — balanced graphic coverage with comfortable visibility from inside
- 70/30 high-coverage — stronger graphic impact, reduced interior light, used for max-visual-impact applications
- 50/50 white-back — white substrate behind print, prevents tint from muting colors on dark vehicle glass
- Clear-back — no white layer, colors are affected by the glass tint level

Sizes & pricing
Priced per square foot, any window size.
Window perf is priced by the square foot. Most vehicle rear windows fall in the $145–$285 range. Retail storefronts with multiple windows are priced by total square footage.
| Spec | Standard | Notes |
|---|---|---|

| Print rate | $9 / sqft | Printed and laminated. White-back adds $1.50/sqft. |
| Single vehicle window | From $145 | Typical rear window on a pickup truck or van. Includes material and install. |
| Retail storefront front | $385–$685 | Typical 3–5 window panes on a retail storefront with continuous graphic. |
| Minimum order | $145 | One window, any size up to the minimum. |
Application
Three glass types, three application approaches.
Window perf applies to glass differently than standard flat vinyl. The install technique changes based on the glass surface and whether it's curved.
Smooth flat glass
Standard application — wet or dry method depending on size. Most storefront windows. Squeegee out from center to edges, remove transfer tape.
Tinted glass
Test patch required first — some window tint films have incompatible coatings. We recommend a 4×4 inch test patch 24 hours before the full install to confirm adhesion.
Curved vehicle rear windows
Heat-formed during install. We use a heat gun to stretch the perf vinyl into compound curves of the rear glass without tunneling or lifting at the edges.
