Cabinet Signs.

One rectangular aluminum box, backlit by a grid of LEDs, with a full-face panel that carries your entire brand — logo, tagline, phone number, all of it. Cabinet signs are the workhorse of high-visibility commercial signage: multi-line marquees, pylon faces, drive-thru menus, and franchise branding all rely on them. Single or double-faced.

  • Starts at: $425 minimum ($95/sqft base)
  • Best for: Multi-line marquees, pylon faces, full-logo signs
  • Warranty: 5-year LED, 2-year fabrication

How it's built

Extruded aluminum body, polycarbonate face, even LED grid inside.

The cabinet body uses American Metals Supply aluminum extrusion — the S-14-63-00012 7″ single or S-14-63-00016 12″ double depth profile. The face panel clips into the extrusion channel and can be polycarbonate white (backlit, no print), cut vinyl (Briteline translucent colors), or digital print (full photographic quality). Inside, a grid of white LED modules provides even, shadow-free illumination across the full face area. A UL-listed, weather-rated power supply is enclosed in the body.

Colors & finishes

Body color plus three face panel options.

Cabinet sign color breaks into two decisions: what the aluminum body looks like, and what the illuminated face shows. Most customers pick Black or White body and invest in a quality face panel that carries their brand artwork.

Face panel — 3 options

The face is what your customers see. Polycarbonate white is the blank-canvas backlit option; Briteline cut vinyl gives you translucent spot colors; digital print handles full-color logos and photography.

  • Polycarbonate White — No charge. Clean, bright, white-light backlit face. Add vinyl lettering on the front face surface if desired.
  • Cut Vinyl Briteline — +$8/sqft first color, +$6/sqft each additional color. 15-color cast translucent palette designed for cabinet illumination.
  • Digital Print — +$28/sqft. Full-color CMYK photographic output, UV-stable inks, ideal for logos with gradients or photography.

Sizes & pricing

Priced per square foot of face area.

Cabinet sign pricing is based on the face area — width × height in square feet — multiplied by the base rate, plus any face upcharge. Double-faced cabinets add a 1.65× multiplier on the total (two faces, internal baffling, extra LEDs).

Mounting

Wall, pole, or pylon — three standard install types.

Cabinet signs are heavy and rigid — mounting method depends on the sign's final use case and location. We spec the hardware and provide an install template for every job.

Wall mount

Single-face cabinet bolted to a flat wall via a concealed hanging bracket. Most common for storefront and building-face installs. Wire enters the building through a neat conduit stub.

Pole mount

Cabinet suspended from a round or square steel pole. Used for ground signs, outparcels, and roadside identification. Pole gauge and base plate spec'd to local wind-load code.

Pylon panel

Cabinet face panel inserted into a multi-tenant pylon frame. Tenant bays are standard sizes — we fabricate to the exact opening and ship with a gasket seal for weatherproofing.
