Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2, 2026
These Terms govern your use of crispsign.com, our online estimator, and any custom signage products or installation services provided by Crisp Signs LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company doing business as CrispSign (“we”, “us”). By submitting a quote request, accepting a quote, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
01 Quotes & Estimates
Online estimates are good-faith pricing based on the information you provide. Final pricing is confirmed in a written quote after we review your specs, site, and artwork. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Hidden site conditions, permit fees, and engineering costs may adjust the final price; we’ll always confirm any change before proceeding.
02 Payment
All CrispSign orders are paid in full upfront — we do not take partial deposits. Payment is collected at checkout through Stripe, and production begins once payment clears and your proof is approved. We accept all major credit cards.
03 Artwork, Proofs & Approval
You are responsible for the accuracy of artwork, copy, dimensions, colors, and spelling on any proof you approve. Production starts only after written proof approval. Once approved, design changes may incur additional fees and delay the schedule.
04 Production & Lead Times
Every CrispSign product has its own lead time, which is stated on the product page and confirmed on your quote. Lead times begin the next business day after payment clears and your proof is approved.
| Product | Typical lead time |
|---|---|
| CrispBeacon — Exterior storefront signs | |

The exact lead time for your order is what appears on your quote. Weather, permitting, and supply-chain conditions can shift dates on installed jobs; we’ll keep you informed.
05 Installation & Permits
Every CrispSign order can be installed one of two ways:
Install it yourself
Your sign ships with everything needed to install it yourself — hardware, templates, and step-by-step guides. There is no coordination fee, and DIY continues straight from the Install Hub to shipping and checkout.
Any permitting required by your city or landlord is your responsibility on the DIY path.
Coordinated for you
CrispSign coordinates a vetted local installer in your area, ships them the sign, and hands off the job. The installer handles the physical installation and, where required, pulls the permits for the site.
CrispSign coordinates the setup and handoff at no added installation fee; the installation company finalizes installation charges (and any permit pass-through costs) with you directly.
You are responsible for granting safe site access and disclosing relevant building, electrical, and HOA conditions. Engineered drawings, landlord approvals, and after-hours work are billed at cost or the rate stated on your quote unless explicitly included.
06 Shipping & Damaged Freight
For orders shipped without installation, risk of loss transfers to you when the carrier picks up the order. Please inspect the packaging and product immediately on arrival.
If your order arrives damaged, follow these steps:
- Take clear photos of the outer packaging, the damaged product, and your order details before unpacking further.
- Email info@crispsignusa.com within 48 hours of delivery with those photos and a short description of the damage.
- We’ll open a freight-damage report and replace any damaged materials as fast as possible — at no charge.
Reports filed without photos or after 48 hours may not qualify for a free replacement.
07 Guarantee & Warranty
We back every order with a satisfaction guarantee and an order-correctness guarantee. If a product arrives with a manufacturing defect, we will replace it at no charge. Illuminated signage carries a 2-year parts-only warranty on the LED package for exterior illuminated signage and interior illuminated channel letters. Parts-only coverage does not include labor, removal, reinstallation, electrical hookup, or third-party installer charges, and does not cover misuse, improper installation, normal wear, weathering, or damage outside our manufacturing or shipping scope. Full terms are on our Guarantee page.
08 Returns & Cancellations
All CrispSign products are custom-fabricated to your order.
All sales are final — we do not accept returns on custom items. Cancellations are only possible before production begins (i.e., before payment clears or before your proof is approved). Once production has started, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect orders are covered under Section 6 (Shipping & Damaged Freight) and Section 7 (Guarantee & Warranty).
09 Intellectual Property
You represent that you own or have permission to use any logos, marks, or images you submit. Original design work created by CrispSign remains our property until paid in full; on full payment, you receive a non-exclusive license to use the artwork for the signage produced under that order. CrispSign retains the right to photograph, display, and use installed work in its portfolio and marketing.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a CrispSign order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages.
11 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Horry or Georgetown County, South Carolina.
12 Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates apply to orders placed after the change date.
FAQ
Real questions people ask before they place a custom sign order — plus tips for using the online builders and designing signs that actually work.
Before you order
Common questions
Why do I have to pay in full upfront?
Every CrispSign sign is custom-fabricated to your exact specs, colors, and artwork — we don’t stock finished signs. Paying in full upfront lets us order materials and start production the same day your proof is approved, which is why our lead times can be so tight. It also means no invoicing back-and-forth, no past-due balances, and no surprise charges after delivery.
Payment is collected securely through Stripe at checkout, and we accept all major credit cards.
What if I need to cancel my order?
You can cancel any time before production begins — that is, before your payment clears or before you approve the final proof. Once we’ve started cutting materials or fabricating your sign, the order can’t be cancelled or refunded because every piece is made to order.
If you’re on the fence, just let us know before you approve the proof. We’re happy to talk through the design or timeline first.
How long will my sign take to make?
Lead time depends on the product. Typical ranges:
- CrispBeacon (all channel letters, cabinet signs, sandblasted cedar): 2–3 weeks.
- Lobby Logo: 2–3 weeks.
- Lobby Panel, Lobby Vinyl, Lobby Tents, Direct-Mount Vinyl, Standoff Menus, Wayfinding, Window Perf: 2–5 business days.
- Vehicle Wraps: 1–2 weeks.
- Vehicle Decals, Magnetic Signs, Fleet Branding: 3–5 business days.
Your exact lead time is confirmed on your quote and starts the next business day after payment clears and your proof is approved.
Do you install my sign for me?
You have two options at checkout:
DIY install — your sign ships with everything you need to install it yourself: hardware, templates, and step-by-step guides. No coordination fee.
Pro install — we coordinate a vetted local installer in your area, ship them the sign, and hand off the job. They handle the physical installation and pull permits if required. CrispSign doesn’t charge a coordination fee; the installation company finalizes install charges (and any permit costs) with you directly.
Who pulls the permits?
It depends on the install path you choose.
On the Pro install path, the local installer we coordinate pulls the permits required for your site — that’s part of what they handle. Permit fees and engineered drawings are billed at cost or the rate on your quote.
On the DIY install path, any permitting required by your city, county, or landlord is your responsibility. Storefront signage often needs a permit, especially for exterior lit signs, so check with your local municipality before you install.
What if my sign arrives damaged?
We’ll replace it at no charge — just make sure you document the damage right away. Within 48 hours of delivery:
- Take clear photos of the outer packaging, the damaged product, and your order details before unpacking further.
- Email info@crispsignusa.com with those photos and a short description of the damage.
- We open a freight-damage report and get replacement materials into production fast.
Reports without photos, or filed after 48 hours, may not qualify for a free replacement — the shipping carrier requires timely documentation.
Do you offer refunds or returns?
All sales are final on custom items — because every CrispSign product is fabricated specifically for your order, we can’t accept returns or resell what we made for you.
That said, damaged, defective, or incorrect orders are always covered: we replace them at no charge under our Guarantee. If we made a mistake on your order, we fix it.
What if my sign stops working after installation?
Illuminated signage carries a 2-year parts-only warranty on the LED package for exterior illuminated signage and interior illuminated channel letters. If the LED package fails within that window from normal use, we replace the failed parts at no charge.
Parts-only coverage does not include labor, removal, reinstallation, electrical hookup, or third-party installer charges, and doesn’t cover misuse, improper installation, weathering, or damage outside our scope. Full details are on the Guarantee page.

Which CrispSign product line is right for me?
Three product lines cover almost every business signage need:
- CrispBeacon — exterior storefront signs. Front-Lit, Halo-Lit, Dual-Lit, and Trimless channel letters, plus cabinet signs and sandblasted cedar. This is what most people picture when they think “storefront sign.”
- CrispLobby — everything on the inside of your building. Lobby Logo (dimensional logos), Lobby Panel, Lobby Vinyl, Lobby Tents, direct-mount vinyl, standoff menus, wayfinding, and window perf.
- CrispAuto — vehicle graphics. Vehicle Decals, Magnetic Signs, Vehicle Wraps, and Fleet Branding.
Start with the product line that matches where your sign will live — outside on the building, inside the space, or on a vehicle.

How do I use the online builders?
Each builder walks you through a short flow:
- Configure. Pick your product, size, materials, colors, and options. Pricing updates live as you change things — no waiting on a quote.
- Proof. Review a scaled proof of your sign before you buy. Everything shown on the builder preview is what you’ll get.
- Install & ship. Choose DIY or Pro install, confirm shipping, and check out.
Every builder saves your progress — sign in from any device and pick up where you left off. You can also re-order later from the Customer Portal in one click.
If you’d rather work off a written quote than live pricing, start on the Contact page and we’ll send one within two business days.
What makes signage that actually works?
Four fundamentals separate signs that sell from signs that don’t:
- Contrast. Dark letters on a light background (or vice versa) read from farther away than same-tone combos. Test the readability of your color choice by squinting at the proof — if the letters blur into the background, contrast is too low.
- Font weight. Thin fonts and thin script disappear from a distance. Use bold or medium weights on anything meant to be read across a parking lot.
- Size vs. distance. Rough rule: 1 inch of letter height reads clearly from about 10 feet away. A 30-foot setback needs 3-inch minimum letters, and more if there’s road glare or angle.
- Restraint. Two colors, one font family, no more than about 6–8 words on a storefront sign. More than that stops being a sign and starts being a document nobody stops to read.
Every builder previews your design at the size you’ve chosen, so you can see whether it’s working before you buy.
Will my logo work as a sign?
Most logos work with some prep, but a few things trip up fabrication:
- File format. We need vector artwork — SVG, AI, EPS, or PDF. Raster PNGs and JPGs will look pixelated when scaled to sign size. If all you have is a raster file, we can usually re-draw it as vector for a fee; ask on the proof.
- Thin strokes. Any line thinner than about 3/8 of an inch at final sign size gets hard to fabricate cleanly in metal or acrylic. If your logo has hairline details, we’ll thicken them or drop them — and flag it on your proof.
- Tiny details. Small text underneath a main logo often needs to be dropped or bumped up in size so it’s legible at sign scale.
- Gradients and photo fills. These translate poorly to channel letters and dimensional signage — they work on printed vinyl and vehicle wraps, not on cut letters. If your logo depends on a gradient, we’ll suggest a solid-color equivalent.
Upload your logo to any builder and we’ll flag issues on the proof before production — nothing ships without your written approval.
